Water Apple

apple ( Feronia limonia ) belongs to the Rutaceae family. The tree is found almost throughout India, prefers dry climate and bears cricket ball sized fruits. The fruits contain sweet and aromatic pulp that is eaten fresh or used for drinks, chutneys, jellies etc. The tree yields good quality gum.
