Water Apple

Water Apple (Syzygium aqueum) belonging to the Mrytaceae family is found in Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim It is a small tree, 5 – 10 m tall, branching near the base. It bears purplish ball shaped fruits with watery pulp that can be eaten raw or used to in preparation of syrup. The tree is propagated by budding and air layering
